It is exactly in Roscoff, for the setting, the quality of the air and the water, that a doctor chose, one century ago, to create the first thalassotherapy centre. In 1899 opens in Roscoff the first maritime institute, giving birth to the modern thalassotherapy.

Settled on its rock, as on the bow of a boat, the thalassotherapy centre looks towards the open sea.

The maritime environment, the omnipresent panorama, varying to the rhythm of tides and the daily sight of the Island of Batz contribute to a determinedly tonic stay.

Roscoff is also the first thalassotherapy centre which has cured rheumatisms.

Associated to exceptional climatic virtues, the treatments are prescribed according to a carefully designed protocol.

It is a centre of thalassotherapy on a human scale with a team of 3 doctors, 12 physiotherapists, 12 hydrotherapists and 4 swimming coaches. It consists in a recently renewed Swimming pool Area with panoramic swimming pool with geysers, swan necks, submarine jets, Jacuzzi and waterfalls. There is also a Beauty area in the centre of the institute.

Directly attached to the spa and thalassotherapy centre, the Thalasstonic hotel combines intimacy and comfort. Every room is fitted with television, hairdryer, in-room safe and telephone.

The hotel benefits from a magnificent sea view, and some rooms offer this unique advantage. Services are available for the customers who wish to prolong their wellness stay: tearoom, shop, hairdressing and beauty parlours.

Animals accepted: 6 euro a day and per animal.

The hotel ended its phase of extension: besides the existing standard rooms, you may now choose now comfort rooms and lounge rooms.

The standard rooms offer quality services. Equipped with a television set, a hairdryer, a safe and a direct telephone, their layout invites you to rest and relaxation.

Besides, comfort rooms give you the luminosity brought by a large bay window which opens on the balcony.

In lounge rooms, you will enjoy a more spacious place with a lounge which invites you to cocooning. It gives you the opportunity to really enjoy the sight offered by the bay window which opens on the balcony.

Hotel "Les Jardins de Rockroum"
This residence has 8 large studio apartments for 1 or 2 people et 2 one-bedroom apartments for 2 to 4 people.

Terraces and balconies open on a garden. Kitchens are well equipped and bathrooms have showers or bathtubs.

The Jardins de Rockroum hotel is situated 150m away from the spa centre.

Each apartment has a TV and a telephone.

Residence Rosko Nevez
It is a small residence with 12 studio apartments for 1 to 2 people located 150m away from the spa and thalassotherapy resort. All bathroom have showers and toilets. Each studio measures about 20 sq.m. They have an equipped kitchen, a TV and telephone.

Restaurants : Restaurant "Thalasstonic"
The restaurant of the hotel will make you appreciate everyday its panoramic sight on the Island of Batz. The Chef suggests a menu in which products of the season and of the market have the place of honour.

On every Thursday evening, an evening " Buffet of the Sea " is proposed for peo)ple who bought a package. And for the people who wish to take advantage of their stay of thalassotherapy to take back good dietary habits, a dietary formula is also offered. This formula goes with the advice of the dietician. (Dietary supplement: 5 Euro by meal and per person).

Sports et leisures : The sea water swimming pool was enlarged in October, 2003, and was completely glazed. It offers a panoramic vision in front of the ocean and the bay of Roscoff. It is equipped with Jacuzzi, geysers and submarine jets.

You may also enjoy the Turkish bath, water sports, sand yacht, upward parachute, the Casino of Roscoff for games amateurs...
